Melanie Ewan

Early Stage Startups, Communications, Community, and Pitch Design.

Melanie can help you:

  • Get you to where you want to go. I'm talking about purpose, vision, values, and goals.

  • The nitty gritty's, tips and tools of pitching (i.e., building your story and the confidence to deliver it).

  • How to develop critical skills and mindset to become the leader and entrepreneur that you want to be.

  • How to build a non-dilutive funding strategy (e.g., grants and loans) to support your business needs.

  • Getting connected to other entrepreneurs, startup advisors, and events, on a global scale.

  • How to repair from burnout and/or imposter syndrome (and break the cycle!) in an intentional way.

Before pursuing life as an entrepreneur and writer, Melanie worked in the Canadian government for a decade in administration and HR, which provided her a valuable education in productivity hacks and government-speak. Since leaving the government, she found her tribe within the startup and tech space.

She is the Co-Founder at Volition, and COO at Women in Tech World, a nonprofit organization dedicated to advancing research and programming for women in tech. She has facilitated 34 research events across Canada with 900+ women and men in tech and organized 60+ startup events in North America and Europe. She is also a professional content writer for multiple publications, including MSN, Fast Company, and Daily Hive.

She moved from Vancouver to Madrid in 2018 and now works 100% remote. Melanie avidly supports the 'work from anywhere' shift, but she also knows how difficult this road can be, which has fuelled her passion for supporting the development of remote entrepreneurs and teams..
