Volition partners with Startup Canada for Startup Global
We are excited to announce that Volition is joining Startup Canada as a partner for Startup Global, officially launching today!
Running from June to October of this year, Startup Global will connect a pan-Canadian cohort of entrepreneurs committed to growing global businesses with a network of partners committed to their success.
This initiative includes pitch competitions, free startup advising, and educational initiatives that recognizes the importance of global export to the Canadian economy and empowers founders to take their ventures to the international stage.
In 2020, the program (formerly the Canadian Export Challenge) supported more than 3,400 entrepreneurs across Canada to become export-ready and to connect with Canada’s global growth ecosystem. As 2020 partners, Volition ran two Pitch Bootcamps with over 400 participants.
This year, Startup Global will feature the addition of the Startup Global Portal, which will act as a ‘one stop shop’ for all things Startup Global. In the lead-up to the Grand Finale in October 2021, Startup Canada will also be hosting several Bootcamps to support export-readiness, including: Exporting 101, global financing, and guidance on mastering a pitch.
That’s where we come in! As part of our mission to provide connections and practical skill-building support to startups and entrepreneurs, Volition will be offering:
Eight Volition Pitch Mastermind Sessions
Two Pitch Building Bootcamps
Entrepreneurs who apply to Startup Global before July 1st will be entered to win a spot in one of these mastermind sessions, to help them practice and refine their pitch in a small-group environment. These sponsored seats will be announced July 5th and the sessions will run until September 1st.
Interested in the Bootcamps? We will be running two Pitch Building Bootcamps to help entrepreneurs develop their pitch, and hear from Startup Canada on the criteria they’re looking for in the Startup Global pitch competition.
